Moon Studios, the creator of No Rest for the Wicked, faces closure due to a flood of negative reviews targeting the game.
As stated by the company's CEO, Thomas Mahler, in a message on the official Discord server - as spotted by a user on NeoGAF The organization's future is uncertain due to insufficient positive feedback from supporters, posing a challenge ahead.
"I believe some may perceive my request for positive reviews as a joke, assuming a major publisher will handle expenses," Mahler expressed.
Dear community members, if you appreciate our work on Wicked and look forward to upcoming updates, please consider sharing your positive feedback. Unfortunately, a recent influx of negative reviews may jeopardize our future. Diminished sales could force us to cease operations. Let's support each other to ensure the longevity of our project.
I wouldn't request this if the success of our business didn't rely on it. I typically refrain from leaving feedback, but to ensure the successful completion of Wicked, it's crucial that we improve our review rating.
This announcement follows Moon Studios' recent transition to complete independence. Their debut franchise, Ori, has already sold more than 15 million copies worldwide.
